On Thursday, March 02, 2023, students from the 12th General High School of Thessaloniki and the 2nd General High School of Pylaia participated in simulation tasks of the Plenary Session of the European Parliament at the headquarters of EUROPE DIRECT Thessaloniki KEDITH. The students as "MEPs", participated in Committees, brought bills for voting, accepted amendments to individual articles, voted against and voted for articles and bills. The primary educational objective of the simulation was to familiarize the students with the European institutions, their role and procedures and to deepen their knowledge of European policy issues, while the process also contributed to the development of communication, negotiation, cooperation and teamwork skills from the students. At the same time, they were informed about the declaration of 2023 as the European Year of Skills and the upcoming events aimed at developing skills.
