Κ.Ε.ΔΗ.Θ. The Day Care Center for the Elderly (K.H.F.H.) operates. The operation of the Center is part of the operation "Day Care Center for the Elderly of the Municipality of Thessaloniki" with OPS 5002227 Operational Program "Central Macedonia 2014-2020".
The K.H.F.H. is an open day care structure for elderly people who are not completely self-sufficient and whose family environment takes care of them, works or has serious social and economic problems or serious health problems and is unable to cope with the care of the elderly it has taken on.
It is aimed at the elderly and people with disabilities (AMEA), who suffer from health problems (mobility difficulties, heart disease, diabetes, dementia, etc.) who need permanent or temporary help.
The capacity of the Center is 17 people. The employed staff of the Center consists of the following specialties: nurse, social carers, support staff, cleaning staff.

The services provided are:

• Nursing care.
• Feeding.
• Rest areas.
• Daily program of activities, creative employment programs, programs for the development of functional and social skills.
• Social support.
• Emotional-Counseling support for the elderly
• Personal hygiene

The objectives of the European Program are to enhance the employability of indirect beneficiaries (ie relatives in care for the elderly), to strengthen social cohesion with equal access to the labor market and to prevent marginalization; and social exclusion, as well as improving the quality of life of older people, maintaining their family cohesion, avoiding the use of institutional care and social exclusion situations, and ensuring a decent standard of living.

* The center is open daily from Monday to Friday, from 7:30 a.m. until 15:30 p.m. and is located at 7 Paparigopoulou Street.
