The President of KEDITH, Municipal Councilor Ioanna Kosmopoulou, on the occasion of Holocaust Remembrance Day said:
"It has been 76 years since the largest concentration camp in Auschwitz-Birkenau in Poland was liberated.
A few years, many memories, more wounds and millions of victims, whose memory we honor today, putting a little stone so that all people on the planet enjoy a life of justice and dignity.
At KEDITH, we try to contribute to the immortal preservation of this memory through our participation in the approved project 'Remember Holocaust - Building Bridges for a Common Future', which takes place in the framework of the European Citizens' Program Europe and has as its central point of reference the commemoration of the Jewish Holocaust, focusing on its events and consequences.
Only through collective memory and the development of the values of solidarity, tolerance and peace can we be sure that such a tragedy will never happen again. "
