As part of the program
#Erasmus+ KA229 “Think Smart – Act Green”, we welcomed students from
Aristotle College as well as 16 students from Austria and Sweden and 5 teachers.
The theme of the conference was "Digitalisation and new technologies against climate change".
Their project manager
SKG Makers held an interactive workshop on promoting the circular economy as an alternative to the existing linear patterns of production and consumption. Participants gained access to Computers, 3D Printers, Oscilloscopes, soldering irons. They learned that they can give new life to wooden and metal creations but also reshape plastic from scratch by making their own molds.
The circular economy is a promising alternative to the existing linear patterns of production and consumption that generate huge amounts of waste and have a huge negative impact on the environment as a whole. Circular use of material, for example through recycling and reuse, can reduce waste production as well as our dependence on extracting or importing raw materials. As such, it has the potential to bring significant environmental and economic benefits.
